The Rydal Hipped Conservatory
Light,
airy and sunny, the conservatory is perfectly placed
to take advantage of the view - be it a secluded corner
of the garden, or a panoramic landscape.
More often than not, a conservatory
can provide the ideal solution in situations where a
conventional extension simply would not work, or in
the case, would not take advantage of such a spectacular
location.
Elevated high above the valley and
with an aspect that reaches across the whole country,
this house had been asking for a room to fully appreciate
the view.
The form and style of the Rydal hipped conservatory
provided the answer. The sloping roof and hip shape
naturally extended the garden end of the house and making
it appear as if it had always been there.
Internally, this conservatory is accessed
through the cosy family sitting room, so the impact
of the unspoiled view as it drops into the valley below
immediate.
Painted in Orchid White it has clear
rectilinear style windows to maximise the wide expanse
outside and double doors which have been placed at the
side to open directly onto the lawn and the rolling
dales beyond.
